About Donna…
I've been right where you are! I know the ache of unhappiness in a relationship, and that longing to be heard and understood. But guess what? I'm here to tell you, there's light at the end of the tunnel, and I'm here to help lead the way.
I've taken my own journey through relationship ups and downs and turned it into my passion. As a warm and committed therapist, I'm here to offer you the kind of support I wished for during my own tough times. And guess what? We've got the powerful Gottman Method in our toolbox - it's got evidence-backed techniques to mend and enrich relationships. And even more importantly, I bring a big dose of empathy because I've been in your shoes.
With me, you're not just a client; you're a partner in this process of renewal. This is a safe space where your concerns will truly be heard, and your feelings will be respected. We'll navigate through the complexities together, one step at a time.
Picture this: feeling empowered, understood, and hopeful once more. Imagine reconnecting with your partner, facing challenges together, and building an even stronger bond. That's the future we're working towards.
I've witnessed countless couples reignite their connection and rediscover their friendship. You're not taking this journey solo. Together, we'll mold a more fulfilling partnership, one step at a time.
Are you ready for a fresh wave of hope? Ready to have your voice truly heard? Let's heal together. Come on this journey with me - a brighter future filled with understanding, love, and promise may be just around the corner.
I embraced a career change driven by my recognition of the need for new skills to better aid others on their healing journeys.
Pursuing further education and qualifications, I underwent rigorous training in contemporary psychological therapies, achieving Gottman Level 1 and 2 accreditation for couples work. I've developed a strong interest in assisting couples facing challenges and believe in empowering individuals and couples to chart their own path to healing with my guidance.
Motivated by my personal experiences,
My desire to help others
My desire to reach out and help others comes from a deep-rooted belief in the capacity for change, even in the most trying times.
I've walked my own path through separation and divorce, and it's given me a profound insight into the challenges people confront.
These experiences have fuelled my passion for creating a space where individuals and couples can nurture better communication, rekindle friendship and romance, find peace from dread and overwhelm and reclaim who they truly want to be - in both the relationship they have with their partner, but also with themselves.
Starting my therapeutic practice, my goal is to empower individuals and couples who, like me, have navigated rough waters. Despite my achievements in my corporate career, I've felt the weight of shame and guilt as my relationship faced struggles. I know what it's like to grapple with exhaustion and the feeling of being shattered. But in these moments, I've found strength and resilience, with the support of therapy. I know it works.
As a mid-life woman, I've embraced the tapestry of life. The highs and lows, the achievements and challenges – they've all woven together to shape who I am. My mission is personal. I want to offer solace and guidance, to let you know that even when things feel broken, there's an opportunity for renewal. There's a path to healing and a brighter tomorrow, regardless of the hurdles. Through my work, I'm here to walk alongside you on a journey of rediscovery, self-acceptance, and the restoration of inner peace.
